I was born and raised in Ann Arbor, Michigan. I fell in love with classical music in high school, but graduated in Business Administration from Hope College. I studied in music and visual art in Vienna, Austria. I pursued music as a profession. I worked at Carnegie Hall. I met Paul McCartney when my NYC choir performed his “Liverpool Oratorio” in 1991. I couldn’t find my footing in the business, so, in 1994, I took a job cold-calling at a small firm called W.J. Nowlan & Co. at 2 Wall Street, and survived in the business ever since. In 2015 I left a long-toxic marriage. Then, on Election Day, 2016, my 15 year old son, Ben, fell to his accidental death from the top of a 7-story parking structure in downtown Ann Arbor. Now, I’ve embraced life, like never before -my 4 surviving children, my loved ones, my singing, and my profession. More than 25 years “in,” I’ve seen what I’d only read about -incredible investment-growth within long-term client relationships. Here’s the truth -the “secret” to investment-success is “time.” “People aren’t rational, they rationalize.” My job is to keep you rational. We’re in the midst of a continuing technology revolution. The pace of innovation and change continues to accelerate. I put you in the center of it. It’s fun to share in the fortunes of companies we patronize by owning them with stock. I’ll put you right in the thick of things. Sit back and enjoy the ride!
